Principal Procurement Specialist (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution
Responsible for P.O and flow of orders
Communicates with cross-functional disciplines
Approves and qualifies vendors to fulfill account needs
Responds to client issues or problems
Authorizes purchase orders and approves payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly
Analyzes and reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices
Prepares and reviews request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages
Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
Preparing Compliance packages in support military contacts

Required

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience
3 or more years of experience in a purchasing manufacturing environment

Preferred

Experience in Government procurement
SAP experience
Ability to analyze Cost and Pricing data and determine proposal compliance (FAR 15.4)
Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
Ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast paced, changing environment
