They are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to own AI systems end-to-end, from problem framing and prototyping to API design and production deployment.

Responsibilities
Own AI projects from concept → POC → production — working directly with product, engineering, and leadership
Build rapid prototypes to validate high-impact AI concepts before scaling them into durable systems
Design and ship Generative AI, agentic workflows, and traditional ML models into a live SaaS marketplace
Develop agentic AI systems optimized for performance, latency, cost, safety, and observability on AWS
Apply AI to multi-sided marketplace problems similar to Uber, Airbnb, or Amazon: matching, recommendations, collaboration intelligence, pricing signals, and behavioral modeling
Work with uniquely rich datasets including:
Marketplace operational data
Unstructured technical documents and blueprints
Bids, pricing, supplier intelligence, and external industry data
Establish AI evaluation, QA, and drift-monitoring practices within CI/CD pipelines
Partner closely with data engineering to improve data pipelines for RAG, agent workflows, and training
Influence roadmap direction — your early work will shape the long-term AI strategy
Qualification
Required
5+ years of Python development experience (FastAPI or equivalent)
Proven experience shipping production-grade AI systems — not just notebooks or experiments
2+ years building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems including: Semantic search, chunking optimization, re-ranking, HYDE (graph-based RAG is a major plus)
1+ year building real agentic AI workflows that have gone into production
Hands-on experience with multimodal LLMs
Strong understanding of: Guardrails for hallucinations, bias, and prompt injection
AI QA, automated testing, model drift detection
Experience building CI/CD pipelines using containers, microservices, and cloud infrastructure
10+ years of computer science fundamentals — algorithms, performance optimization, scalable systems
5+ years in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
Comfortable working in fast-moving, flat, no-bureaucracy environments
Ownership mentality — you build it, you ship it, you support it
Preferred
Graph-based RAG or knowledge graph systems (e.g., Neo4j)
Vertical or domain-specific agent development
Experience with Amazon Redshift, SageMaker
Fine-tuning LLMs or building automated prompt-tuning workflows
Working with OCR, computer vision, and complex unstructured documents
