Responsibilities

Lead WordPress builds from development through launch
Build using custom WordPress themes (block-based preferred)
Convert Figma designs into semantic, accessible, responsive front-end code
Write clean, maintainable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Make technical decisions around structure, performance, plugins, and security
Collaborate with designers, PMs, and strategists to translate business needs into usable web solutions
Review designs and implementations for UI/UX and best practices
Ability to review and refactor existing WordPress codebases

Required

5-7 years of WordPress development experience
Proven ownership of full WordPress builds
Strong PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills
Experience writing semantic, accessible markup and responsive CSS
Familiarity with modern CSS methodologies and performance best practices
Experience translating design systems into reusable components
Git-based workflow experience
Agency or multi-client experience
Clear communicator with strong ownership mindset
Ability to work standard business hours (8 - 5 in your timezone)

Preferred

Experience with React, Vue, or modern JS tooling
Performance optimization and page speed tuning experience
Comfort with modern build tools or task runners
