Responsibilities
Support and enhance MTA’s PeopleSoft Pension Administration system for administered pension plans
Troubleshoot, enhance, and implement new and existing pension processes, calculations, and estimates
Integrate pension processes with other PeopleSoft HCM modules
Implement and support customizations ensuring compliance with pension legislation, regulatory requirements, and CBAs
Maintain and upgrade efficiency of legacy data within the centralized, customized PeopleSoft system
Configure pension rules, including eligibility, participation, consolidation (hours, earnings, contributions), vesting, benefit formulas, and optional forms
Support and maintain various bolt-on applications (e.g., pension loans administration system)
Utilize PeopleSoft technical tools: People Tools, People Code, Application Engine, Component Interface, SQR, XML/BI Publisher, COBOL
Apply advanced knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM & Pension Administration, focusing on complex pension configurations and compliance (e.g., eligibility, vesting, benefit limits, retirement factors, payroll, cost of living adjustments)
Prepare and support annual actuary valuation reporting and pension-related administrative tasks (e.g., loans, service buybacks)
Work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative, leadership, and strong communication skills
