Responsibilities
Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements, as well as yearly calibration on all treatment units
Monitor equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department to ensure that it is functioning correctly and safely
Maintain regulatory agency records and reports
Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions
Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient
Perform additional duties, as needed
Qualification
Required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledgeable in state and professional regulations
Willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues
A desire to demonstrate initiative and ownership of daily tasks and projects
Capable of paying strict attention to detail, thorough, and well-organized
Ability to actively problem-solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions
Master's Degree and/or PhD in Medical Physics
A board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in therapy physics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interpret regulations
A willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues
Demonstrate initiative, organization, and ownership of daily tasks and projects
Ability to problem solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions
Preferred
2+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred
