Conference Services Technician (Systems Analyst III)

Education

Responsibilities

Oversees all aspects of conference room facilities, managing the reservation system and ensuring spaces are properly scheduled, set up, and maintained for agency events
Provides comprehensive support for audio-visual equipment, handling setup, troubleshooting, and advanced problem resolution for devices such as projectors, video streaming systems, and other conference technologies
Manages the ongoing maintenance of conference equipment, which includes procuring and monitoring vendor services, conducting condition assessments, and prioritizing repairs and improvements
Provides technical support for computers, notebooks, WiFi, LAN, cellular networks, and other technologies used within conference rooms
Builds strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Provide a solution-oriented approach to service issues, ensuring that problems are resolved quickly and effectively

Required

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university
At least two (2) years of experience in conference facility support
Each additional year of related experience above the required minimum may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis
Share the belief that all Texas students can achieve at high levels and are able to succeed in college, career, or the military
Demonstrated expertise in audio, video, control systems, and other technologies used in modern conference room environments
Working knowledge of construction and project management practices, including site inspections, equipment installation, and basic repairs
Proficiency with personal computers and common software applications, including email, spreadsheets, word processing, and database tools
Strong organizational, time-management, and planning abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, agency staff, tenants, customers, and the public
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and serve as a lead or subject-matter expert in project-related activities
Capability to stoop, bend, lift, and stand for extended periods as required by the work environment
Ability to safely move and transport up to 20 pounds of equipment, products, or materials
