Responsibilities
Lead requirements confirmation, solution design, gap analysis, and architecture decisions for Workday Financials implementations and optimizations
Design and implement scalable Workday Financials solutions aligned with business processes and compliance requirements
Architect and support the following Workday Financials modules: Core Financials, Banking & Settlements, Accounting Center, Revenue Management, Contracts-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Grants and Projects
Optimize Grants Management processes including Pre-Award/Post-Award, Effort Certification, Subawards, Salary Cap, and Award Budget Plans
Collaborate with implementation vendors to design and optimize integrations using: Workday Studio, EIB, BIRT, REST / SOAP APIs, Prism Analytics
Identify and implement Workday Extend solutions to address functionality gaps and improve efficiency
Guide the development of advanced composite and matrix reports, dashboards, and analytics to support executive decision-making
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, federal grant regulations, and industry-specific financial standards
Design and implement Workday security frameworks, data governance strategies, and Foundation Data Model (FDM) structures
Support audit readiness, financial reporting accuracy, and regulatory compliance
Lead large-scale ERP migrations from legacy systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) to Workday Financials
Design and implement automated workflows for: Payroll reconciliation, Revenue recognition, Expense processing, Subaward tracking
Partner with stakeholders to modernize financial processes and improve operational efficiency
Qualification
Required
10+ years of ERP implementation experience, with 7+ years focused on Workday Financials
Active Workday Financials Certifications, valid through 2025 R1, including: Core Financials, Banking & Settlements, Revenue Management, Grants Management, Accounting Center, Contracts-to-Cash
Advanced expertise with Workday integration tools (Studio, EIB, BIRT, REST/SOAP APIs)
Strong experience with Prism Analytics and Workday Extend
Proven experience ensuring compliance with US GAAP and federal grant regulations
Experience working in public sector, higher education, healthcare, or not-for-profit environments
Preferred
5–7 years of experience delivering multi-tenant Workday Financials solutions in the public sector
5–7 years of experience designing and implementing Accounting Center for cash-basis reporting and advanced allocations
Strong background leading PeopleSoft to Workday ERP migrations
Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills
