Responsibilities
Handle complex criminal defense matters from intake through resolution
Appear in court regularly and manage hearings, motions, and trials
Travel to Key West approximately every other month for court appearances lasting 3–4 days
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients throughout their cases
Work closely with the firms lead attorney as a trusted senior associate
Maintain organized case files and consistent follow-through
Contribute to a collaborative, low-ego team environment
Qualification
Required
6+ recent years of criminal defense experience
Defense-side practice only
Strong courtroom and litigation background
Florida Bar admission in good standing
Stable employment history
Comfortable supporting a lead attorney rather than seeking partnership
Willingness to travel periodically to Key West
