National Sales Manager

Samuel, Son & Co. is a leading company in the manufacturing sector, and they are seeking a National Sales Manager to oversee their sales team and drive growth in National Accounts. Responsibilities

Directly manage and develop a team of three sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with company values
Oversee the organic growth of National Accounts through the support of the assigned account manager and Customer Care Manager
Assist in the development and refinement of sales process and procedures
Lead other sales members in the organization to achieve annual sales targets and maintain market position and product mix
Identify and lead strategies in key markets that show growth potential
Oversee pricelist management, customer engagement activities, organic growth goals and execution
Forecast orders/sales monthly using CRM and other tools
Lead the Tactical Sales Initiative (TSI) call
Provide monthly business unit updates to the director of sales and marketing focused on existing business trends, market and industry intelligence, organic growth opportunities, and any risks associated with the commercial aspect of the business
Identify and removes obstacles which prevent quotations from being closed as wins
Work with various company departments to facilitate new business development
Work with customer care team on account development and overall customer satisfaction
Work with operations and customers on inventory management to achieve working capital goals
Establish credit terms with customers to achieve working capital goals
Review contracts and terms and conditions prior to PO acceptance
Keep management informed of information collected regarding competition, pricing, and changing market trends
Support corporate credit (AR) goals by assisting with collection on accounts beyond 60 days past due
Document and hold accountable team activity using CRM (D365) on a daily and ongoing basis
Support and facilitate current updates to the website and marketing materials through the corporate marketing team
Represent the organization within each division, customers, and all other stakeholders
Attend trade shows to represent the organization and/or to perform market research
Travel required estimated to be 25%
Accountable for achieving annual revenue targets, customer retention goals, and team performance metrics

Ability to work will in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations
Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures
Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job
Must have a basic understanding of computers
Must have reading, writing and simple math skills
Sales and/or sales management experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably related Industrial and/or Pressure Vessels markets
Previous managerial experience in leading people in a driven sales environment
Strong communication skills – written and oral
Ability to effectively work with internal and external customers in a team environment

Preferred

A bachelor's degree is preferred with a focus in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration plus a broad sales/marketing experience of 5 or more years preferably in a manufacturing environment
