Professional Services Engineer
Techvalens is a company focused on helping customers adopt container-based technologies. The Professional Services Engineer will be responsible for implementing container solutions, providing technical support, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Act as a key contributor in customer implementations by delivering end-to-end technical solutions in a consultative and customer-focused manner
Install, configure, and manage container infrastructure clusters based on customer-specific technical and operational needs
Containerize customer applications to support migration from legacy systems to modern container platforms
Lead and support proof-of-concepts (POCs), product demonstrations, beta programs, and feature rollouts for customers and partners
Deliver customized training on Kubernetes, Docker, container architectures, and related monitoring or integration processes
Work closely with Sales and Services teams to create detailed Statements of Work (SOWs), including project scope, success criteria, and timelines
Provide regular status updates to customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication on project progress and issue resolution
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes clusters, containerized applications, networking, storage, and monitoring integrations
Apply strong technical expertise in Linux, Kubernetes, networking, and storage technologies to achieve successful customer outcomes
Collaborate with Engineering teams to escalate issues, identify bugs, and contribute to product improvements using customer feedback
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in Professional Services or a similar customer-facing technical role
5+ years of hands-on Linux experience, preferably with Red Hat–based distributions
Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and container platforms
Experience working with OpenShift 4.x
Solid knowledge of Linux environments such as RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu
Good understanding of networking concepts including subnetting, VLANs, SDN fundamentals, and SR-IOV
Experience with storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, NVMe, and iSCSI
Proven experience building Docker images and deploying and troubleshooting containerized applications
Familiarity with monitoring, integration, and observability tools and workflows
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, milestones, and communications
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, including hybrid or multi-cloud environments
Willingness to travel up to 50%
