Senior Accountant

Vibrant Health is a company dedicated to providing quality healthcare services. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to perform grant accounting functions, assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and month-end reconciliations, and contribute to the Finance Department in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform all grant accounting functions
Assist in performing analysis in an effort to provide organization with meaningful information to make educated economic decisions
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and AD-Hoc projects
Assist with month-end variance analysis of financial accounts/statements
Assist in completion of annual financial audit, 990, Cost Report, and FFR
Preparation and posting of month-end journal entries
Reconcile Bank accounts including cash transactions
Perform month-end reconciliations to ensure accuracy of accounts
Assist with completion of monthly financial packet
Assist with inventory/tracking process of fixed assets within the organization
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or CFO

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Exhibit a professional and respectful demeanor
Work successfully independently and within a team, shifting tasks, prioritize tasks, problem-solve daily, and complete work within deadline
Demonstrate excellent customer service, helpfulness, and a positive attitude
Possess superior organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Demonstrate the ability to recognize, understand, and appreciate the value of cultural diversity and communicate medical information in plain language
Demonstrate social and cultural sensitivity appropriate to ethnically and economically diverse patients and staff
Exhibit experience and working knowledge of local community resources
Hold current drivers' license and reliable transportation
Travel to all parts of the facility and throughout the community

Preferred

Masters and/or CPA preferred
Health Care experience with Federally Qualified Health Center experience preferred
Experience in grant accounting preferred
