Responsibilities

Use your Juris Doctorate degree, analytical mindset, and knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to creditor’s rights and collections to develop and implement case-level litigation strategy, and zealously represent clients at court proceedings
Have a high bar for excellence, a sense of urgency, and advanced interpersonal and written communication skills to partner with our internal team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to efficiently manage dockets and cases, prepare pleadings, and ensure seamless case management
Use your good judgement, complex problem-solving skills, and achievement orientation to negotiate settlements with defendants and opposing counsel, defend against counterclaims, and navigate escalated litigation matters to resolve disputes
Be adept in leveraging the latest industry technology, monitoring and educating team members on changes to laws or regulations, and support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for increased efficiency
Enjoy regional travel to appear at courts throughout Tennessee, have a good standing with the Tennessee Bar Association, and be able to meet requirements of our thorough background review process

Required

Licensed and located in Tennessee (near Nashville)
1-3 years of experience in creditor's rights and civil litigation
Juris Doctorate degree
Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to creditor's rights and collections
Advanced interpersonal and written communication skills
Good judgement and complex problem-solving skills
Ability to negotiate settlements with defendants and opposing counsel
Ability to defend against counterclaims and navigate escalated litigation matters
A good standing with the Tennessee Bar Association
Ability to meet requirements of a thorough background review process
Enjoy regional travel to appear at courts throughout Tennessee
