Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Aircraft Technician - Electrical Backshop to join their Electrical Backshop team based in Columbus, MS. The role involves performing electrical installation tasks, including the fabrication of electrical harnesses and components for aircraft, while also mentoring less experienced technicians.

Responsibilities

Following direction and working as part of a team and alone on different tasks

Apply the basic techniques and procedures of electrical installation

Read and follow detailed plans, diagrams and different standards in the fabrication of wire harnesses and electrical components

Lay-in route wires on form board, tying, lacing, and apply appropriate anti-chaff protection

Install solder shields, splices, daisy chains and different electronic components such as resistors, capacitors and diodes etc

Soldering of connectors, contacts and components

Completing forms and records pertaining to completion of assigned work

Instruct and mentor less experience technicians in tasks

Troubleshoot and rework discrepancies and faults

Lay-in harnesses and complete termination on A/C production line

Install and Modify A/C wiring to accommodate Retro-fit systems modifications

Required

HS diploma or equivalent

Minimum of six (6) years related aviation electrical experience

Basic computer skills

Read, interpret, and follow written technical data
