AMI Program Project Coordinator

The AMI Program Project Coordinator will support the Advanced Metering Infrastructure program by coordinating project activities and ensuring successful implementation of AMI systems across targeted operating areas in Florida.

Responsibilities

Support the AMI Program Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of AMI deployment activities
Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and documentation for field crews, contractors, and vendors
Track project progress, deliverables, and performance metrics against approved schedules and budgets
Maintain detailed project records including reports, spreadsheets, and dashboards to support status updates
Communicate with client representatives, utilities, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project milestones, priorities, and issue resolution
Assist in managing procurement processes, tracking materials, and equipment inventory relevant to AMI installations
Prepare and distribute regular progress reports and updates to the AMI Program leadership team
Support quality assurance activities and ensure field data is accurately recorded and maintained
Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities for process improvements within assigned operating areas
Perform site visits and audits as needed to verify work completion and compliance with standards

Required

Bachelor's degree in project management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of one of the following required: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from PMI, PRINCE2 Foundation, IPMA Level D, or APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)
2–3+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably within utilities, energy, or infrastructure projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project)
Basic familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Monday.com, or similar tools
Strong ability to recognize gaps in processes and assist the Senior Project Manager and Program team in identifying and addressing issues
Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple teams and stakeholders
Willingness to travel throughout Florida for site coordination and project oversight
Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred

Solid familiarity and understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Experience with AMI, smart grid, telecommunications, or broader technology deployment
Knowledge of GIS, database, or project tracking tools a plus
