Management and Program Analyst (Awards)
USAJOBS is seeking a Management and Program Analyst (Awards) to serve as the Agency’s Awards Program Manager. This role involves the development, administration, coordination, and implementation of the DLA Agency-Wide Awards Program, ensuring award nominations meet criteria and managing high-level award ceremonies.

Responsibilities
Serves as the Agency’s Awards Program Manager with responsibility for the development, administration, coordination, and implementation of the DLA Agency-Wide Awards Program
Analyzes existing policies and procedures, originates and revises policies and procedures, performs program evaluation, and provides expert advice in the solution of complex problems
Strategically anticipates program challenges, identifies applicable program, policy, and procedural areas of concern, and develops solutions to best support the Agency's strategic planning efforts
Assures award nominations are technically sufficient and evaluates justifications to determine if achievements/nominations meet award criteria
Manages the cradle-to-grave execution of the Agency’s Annual Employee Recognition Ceremony, the Annual DLA Hall of Fame Ceremony, as well as other high level award ceremonies
Recommends and implements program changes to ensure program integrity, organizational alignment, culture, and leadership intent
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. citizen
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position
To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector
Handling award nominations and evaluating justifications for awards
Reviewing program policies and recommending program changes
Develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports and correspondence to managers to foster understanding of an awards program
Provides guidance to senior leadership as well as numerous field activity awards administrators regarding regulatory requirements and program precedents
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level
