Responsibilities

Prepare detailed, competitive estimates for utility, highway, and heavy civil construction projects, including public works and infrastructure contracts

Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, general conditions, and add alternates/allowances

Use HeavyBid estimating software for bid development, cost tracking, and database management

Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope, risks, exclusions, and assumptions

Solicit and evaluate subcontractor/vendor quotes and incorporate pricing into estimates

Partner with project managers and field personnel to incorporate constructability insights and schedule impacts

Prepare bid proposals, narratives, and required bid forms; ensure timely submission in accordance with procurement requirements

Assist in post-bid buy-out, budget transition, and value engineering efforts as needed
