Responsibilities
Lead design and development engineering from concept through product launch
Own problem-solving and failure analysis for assigned programs
Develop cost-effective manufacturing and assembly processes alongside product design
Deliver robust designs that meet customer specifications and production requirements
Partner with Business Development, Program Engineering, Tech Center, and Tool Room teams
Lead and participate in design reviews for new products
Create and maintain 3D models, BOMs, and drawings for sample, prototype, and pilot builds
Calculate and dimension flat pattern and formed sheet metal drawings
Support customer revisions and maintain Engineering Release documentation
Present technical data and project updates to internal teams and leadership
Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and teamwork
Provide technical support across departments as needed
Qualification
Required
A.S. in Mechanical Design with 5–10 years of experience OR B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of product development experience
Proven cross-functional product development and program management experience
Strong background in failure analysis and problem-solving (FEA, FMEA, DOE, DFMA)
Proficiency in Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
Demonstrated sheet metal design and flat pattern creation experience
Solid understanding of BOMs, routings, and MRP systems
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Willingness to travel up to 15%, domestically and internationally
Comfortable working with customers and vendors across cultures
Preferred
Manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred
