Responsibilities
Own major mechanical systems or structural components for a next-gen launch vehicle
Guide early-stage architecture, concept development, and integration planning
Serve as a trusted resource and mentor for junior engineers on your team
Review models, drawings, analyses, and test plans with technical rigor and care
Help define processes, documentation standards, and best practices for how the team works
Collaborate across propulsion, integration, avionics, and test to solve multidisciplinary challenges
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience designing and delivering aerospace flight hardware
Experience working on launch vehicles, spacecraft, or similar complex flight systems
Ownership of hardware through the full lifecycle: concept, design, manufacturing, test, and integration
Experience mentoring younger engineers or being the technical go-to person on past teams
Ability to find the fastest path to a reliable design and teach others how to think that way
Preferred
Experience with CAD (NX preferred)
Understanding of structural loads, interfaces, and materials
