IT Support Technician (Fountain Valley, California)

Responsibilities
Provide support to off-site lab staff/facilities and pathologists
Provide support for labs nationwide
Guide customers remotely and in person through systems configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Listen attentively to customers’ questions and concerns and offer optimal solutions
Prioritize customer satisfaction in all communications, directing unresolved issues to next-level personnel
Respond to inquiries via Email, over the phone, in person or ticketing software
Troubleshoot network connections, thin clients, and PCs
Repair printers: Laser & Zebra printers
Provide hands-on technical support for hardware such as servers, desktops/laptops, printers, IP phones, and other peripheral and IP-based devices, mobile devices, physical connectivity to the company’s LAN, data/voice cabling; and software such as office productivity and business applications, internally developed applications, computer operating systems, web applications, and various drivers
Troubleshoot PCs via remote access (Teamviewer, Splashtop)
Perform virus, malware, and spyware removal from networks and individual PCs
Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of network problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware and software solutions, including off-site repair
Isolate and determine the root cause of complex technical problems
Work with the telecommunication team to resolve circuit issues, opening and closing trouble tickets
Support development and implementation of networking projects and new technology installations
Assist with the breakdown and set-up of new laboratories
May be asked to participate in enterprise initiatives, special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of IT experience
Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
Ability to thrive in a team environment
Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Computer literacy and working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems
Experience with network troubleshooting
Quick learner who is able to learn new technologies and web programming languages independent of formal training
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Knowledge of laboratory procedures and workflow is helpful
