The Economic Development Internship offers hands-on experience in community development, economic development, and business relations, providing valuable support to the Economic Development team.

Responsibilities
Conduct research and compile available site information into an existing project database
Assist in updating the Partners in Education Program, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on partnerships between local businesses and educational institutions
Facilitate communication and collaboration with utilities and economic development partners to provide support and resources for businesses considering Cobb County as their next location
Assist with SelectCobb’s communication channels, including social media, newsletters, and websites, to accurately and effectively share the SelectCobb story
Aid in event planning and execution, including sending out invitations, managing registration, and providing on-site support during events organized by the SelectCobb team
Qualification
Required
Strong research skills with the ability to gather and analyze data from various sources
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of community partners, members, and stakeholders
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Demonstrate a proactive and self-motivated attitude with the ability to acquire new skills and knowledge
Preferred
Currently enrolled in a degree program related to economic development, business, community development, advocacy, public policy, or communication
