Electrical Engineer

Eureka Infotech Inc is seeking a highly skilled Electrical & Controls Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and scaling of advanced hardware systems. This role is integral to building complex mechatronic equipment that incorporates plasma processing, metal vapor deposition, and high-power laser technologies.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to design, test, and deliver electrical and control hardware, control system software, data acquisition, and instrumentation for complex mechatronic systems
Design and implement system safety features, including interlocks, fault detection, and protection mechanisms
Develop and maintain PLC-based control programs for automated test stands and system-level data acquisition
Define facility-level electrical requirements, including load calculations, power conditioning, and power quality analysis
Specify, integrate, and oversee installation of critical power components, such as transformers, switchgear, and power distribution systems
Ensure engineering rigor through design reviews, FMEAs, risk assessments, and mitigation plans
Partner with lab engineers and scientists to define controls architecture and process automation requirements
Architect electrical enclosures and control panels for safe and reliable distribution of power to motors, instrumentation, and controllers
Support system debugging, validation, and continuous improvement during development and scale-up

Required

Hands-on experience in electrical system design, automation, and control systems within a highly technical industry (e.g., aerospace, nuclear, automotive, semiconductor processing, or national laboratories)
Experience designing, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging electronics hardware and test software
Hands-on experience with LabVIEW and NI hardware platforms (CompactDAQ, CompactRIO, PXI)
Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document designs and collaborate effectively across disciplines
Ability and willingness to work on-site in Austin, TX
Ability to comply with export control regulations related to controlled technical information
