Responsibilities
Support implementation and management of multi-institution correctional healthcare contracts
Serve as the primary liaison between the staffing agency, correctional leadership, and clinical teams
Ensure services meet contractual obligations, performance metrics, and regulatory requirements
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, scheduling, and retention of clinical staff (RN, LPN, NP, PA, MD, mental health professionals, etc.)
Address staffing gaps promptly and implement contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted care
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and accreditation standards
Monitor clinical quality, documentation, and incident reporting
Lead audits, corrective action plans, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Support RFP and proposal development for correctional healthcare staffing contracts
Support contract renewals, expansions, and performance reviews
Translate contract requirements into operational workflows post-award
Lead, mentor, and support on-site managers and clinical leadership
Address employee relations issues and performance concerns
Provide regular reporting to executive leadership on outcomes, risks, and opportunities
Qualification
Required
Administrative experience in correctional health care staffing and services
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field
Minimum of 5–7 years of healthcare management experience
Prior involvement in RFP responses for correctional healthcare services
Preferred
Licensed clinician (RN or higher)
Experience managing multi-site or large-scale healthcare contracts
Familiarity with correctional environments, security protocols, and public agency partnerships
Experience with state DOC contracts or large public-sector healthcare procurements
