Product Center Leader - Development

The Product Center Leader is responsible for leading operations within the New Product Development team, ensuring product flow meets customer needs while fostering a culture of safety, communication, and continuous improvement among team members.

Responsibilities

Ensuring all employees are working safely and according to work instructions
Monitoring all work order and labor management activity of team
Provide operational input to overall business strategy
Contribute to annual operations planning for the business
Take part in developing and driving operational strategy with a 12–18-month vision
Determine staffing needs (hourly, salary) and ensure team is structured correctly
Identify and drive development needs - coach and mentor team members as required
Drive effective communications throughout the team
Mold team culture and workforce integrity
Proactively support quality initiatives, for defect reduction in manufacturing and test
Drive strategies to increase productivity, efficiency through the reduction process waste
Embed continuous improvement into all team activities and processes
Monitor, report and take action to reduce cost through team initiatives to support business goals
Collaborate with other leaders to standardize common processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Operational Leadership, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 8 years of related work experience in leading teams within production, manufacturing, operations or similar environments
Demonstrated ability to manage a team with demanding and ever-changing customer expectations
Excellent communication both written and verbal
Exceptional attitude and interpersonal skills coupled with good judgement to overcome team challenges
Ability to lead in a team-based manufacturing environment and make decisions with minimal supervision
Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools

Preferred

12 years of related experience leading development and production team members that manufacture high-reliability electronic assemblies
Previous experience leading, mentoring and developing employees across multiple shifts
Experience implementing Lean-Sigma manufacturing concepts to improve safety, quality, through improved product flow while lowering cost
Technical understanding of the manufacturing of high reliability electronics
Experience utilizing business systems and tools that aid in managing labor, processes, and budgets
