Responsibilities

Observe, support, and progressively contribute to live qualitative research including in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus groups, in-homes, shop-alongs, online boards, consumer connects, ideation sessions, and more!
Learn how to listen, take comprehensive notes, capture meaning during live research sessions and contribute to debriefs
Partner with moderators to understand objectives, discussion guide development and research design; support the development and preparation of research materials such as discussion guides, pre-work, templates, report
Monitor live sessions and build confidence by spotting patterns in motivations/tensions; help identify emerging themes for reporting
Learn how stories live within data and how meaning is constructed
Synthesize themes, tensions, and “so what's” via team-provided frameworks, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Translate human stories into clear, compelling insights and assist in synthesizing patterns, themes, and consumer narratives that ladder up to larger insights and implications
Use rigor and organization to support insight quality and ensure documentation follows Radius standards
Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members in a fast-paced environment
Work closely with project managers to monitor and support participant recruitment and scheduling
Manage research schedules, calendars, project timelines and support logistics coordination
Prepare stimulus, session materials, and attend regular internal briefings
Progress from contributor to section owner to report lead via note taking, topline summaries, debrief summaries, and comprehensive reports
Create and develop research summaries and simple visualizations; learn how to turn quotes into insight narratives
Develop confidence in qualitative storytelling; prepare slides in the Radius formatting style for internal and client presentations
Support ad-hoc tasks required to keep projects moving smoothly
Overtime, facilitate internal debriefs and client-facing discussions

Required

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Marketing, Communications, or similar)
Strong listener, thoughtful writer, curious thinker with robust communication skills and the ability to translate discussions into clear, structured stories
High attention to detail; someone who can balance rigor with creativity and synthesis, especially when working with qualitative data
Strong organization, time management, and comfort working across multiple projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Teams; comfort learning new tools and systems

Preferred

Experience (internship or academic) with qualitative research, observation, or analysis
Familiarity with qualitative tools such as Dovetail, NVivo, or similar
Strong interest in people, behavior, and motivations and an understanding of consumer insights, human behavior, and storytelling through data
