Field service engineer Mid-West
Optimum Sorting is a company that provides tailored solutions in a high-tech environment. They are seeking a Field Service Engineer responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining equipment at customer facilities, while also providing technical training and troubleshooting support.

Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, software and sorter programming issues both on site and remote (via phone or remote access)
Give technical training and education to your client on how to set-up the machine, use it and fix first line failures
Give advice on how to maintain the machine
Share your field experiences regarding bottlenecks and how to fix them with your service and engineering colleagues
Travel 140-180 days/year
Report to the service manager
Qualification
Required
Located in Mid-West region (either at customers site or home based)
Bachelor's degree (mechanical or electrical) or comparable by experience
3 – 5 years of experience as (service) technician, in which experience in machinery is an asset
Broad technical knowledge base: electrical troubleshooting (3-phase, 1-phase power, low voltage DC) and mechanical work experience, reading of electrical and mechanical drawings
Knowledge of Office 365
Fluent in English, both in writing and verbal
Problem solver with a hands-on and client-centered mindset
Able to work under pressure in stressful situations
Communicative, flexible and adaptable towards working hours and availability for customers
Preferred
Forklift certificate is a plus
Knowledge of Linux, PLC, Siemens S7 and computer networks is an added value
You know at least one other global language (f.i. Spanish)
