Landscaping Business Developer

TrueWinds Consulting is a rapidly growing company expanding into new markets, and they are seeking seasoned Landscape Business Developers in Portland. The role focuses on finding and winning new business within the HOA, Multifamily, and Commercial markets through proactive prospecting and relationship-building efforts.

Responsibilities

Creating targeted lists of commercial properties that fit our ideal customer profile
Making contact with these organizations at the decision-making level, which is typically the Asset/Portfolio Manager
Gaining audience with the Asset/Portfolio Manager and identifying and qualifying sales opportunities
Establishing business rapport, executing a thorough discovery, doing a comprehensive take-off, and providing accurate & detailed information to the estimator to generate a proposal
Delivering the proposal in person, focusing your presentation on the issues and needs of the prospect and gaining agreement
Effectively following up when required
Overcoming objections and closing the sale
Scheduling your time and sales activities strategically
Creating a network comprised of other professionals that also serve the HOA & Multifamily markets
Representing GTL when required at trade shows
Participating in strategic associations
Collaborating with marketing and coordinating marketing & sales efforts
Selling profitable deals and maintaining required margins
Responding to all bids as quickly as humanly possible

Required

5 - 10 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in landscaping or related fields
Ability to create targeted lists of commercial properties that fit the ideal customer profile
Experience making contact with organizations at the decision-making level, specifically Asset/Portfolio Managers
Skill in gaining audience with decision-makers and identifying and qualifying sales opportunities
Ability to establish business rapport and execute thorough discovery
Experience providing accurate and detailed information to estimators to generate proposals
Skill in delivering proposals in person and focusing presentations on the issues and needs of prospects
Ability to effectively follow up and overcome objections to close sales
Strong drive, confidence, discipline, and energy to prospect daily
Mental toughness and resilience to handle rejection
High level of energy to execute weekly prospecting and maintain a full pipeline of qualified sales opportunities
Strategic time management and scheduling of sales activities
Ability to create a network of professionals serving the HOA & Multifamily markets
Strong relationship-building skills and ability to establish rapport, credibility, and trust
Business acumen to understand decision-makers' issues and ask relevant probing questions
Ability to articulate what makes the company unique in the market
Effective use of CRM for systematic contact and follow-up
Skill in navigating organizational charts within prospect organizations
Ability to represent the company at trade shows and participate in strategic associations
Collaboration with marketing to coordinate marketing and sales efforts
Ability to sell profitable deals and maintain required margins
Quick response to all bids
