Mid LevelHedgeOS is an early-stage technology startup developing AI and machine learning–driven systems in the quantitative fintech space. They are seeking an Applied AI Engineer to focus on building intelligent systems that incorporate multi-step reasoning and decision workflows.

Responsibilities
Work on agentic workflows and intelligent systems that combine reasoning, structured logic, and machine learning
Build AI systems that go beyond single-step inference, including multi-step reasoning, decision workflows, and human-in-the-loop interactions
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in applied AI/ machine learning
Hands-on experience working with LLMs beyond basic prompting
Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking skills
Comfort designing systems that involve multi-step reasoning
Comfort designing systems that involve orchestration and control flows
Comfort designing systems that involve failure modes and edge cases
Preferred
Experience with agent frameworks, workflow orchestration, or decision systems
Background in optimization and reinforcement learning
Interest in quantitative finance
