Responsibilities
Ensuring that an appropriate document control management system is implemented and maintained
Managing and overseeing documents for a particular project, both documents received by the project team, and documents issued by the project team, in support of the Project Controls Manager and/or Project Manager
Ensuring the proper documents are created and approved by the relevant project personnel
Overseeing the numbering system, issue and distribution and filing of documents is adhered to, including system and document checks
Ensuring that documents are appropriately stored and backed up, and any retention policies are followed
Improving document control practices and meet legal records control requirements
Receiving and collecting project correspondences and communication from contractors to the project management team
Responding to the requests for documents and distributing them as needed
Assisting team members in using the document control management system
Qualification
Required
Prior document control experience (preferably a minimum of 7-10+ years) in project teams managing large heavy industrial projects (ideally mining projects), or multidisciplinary construction projects in other sectors
Hands-on experience with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills
Time management and ability to meet deadlines
Keen attention to detail together with analytical and organizational skills
Ability to travel to project site in Idaho and Toronto, Canada (valid passport highly desired)
Valid US passport required
