Responsibilities
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Record cash receipts, deposits, and expenses
Maintain the general ledger and supporting documentation
Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
Ensure timely and accurate data entry in the accounting system
Coordinate routine office supply inventory and ordering to support daily operations
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
Own the month-end and year-end close processes
Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies
Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP
Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Support accounting oversight of company inventory, including valuation and reconciliation
Interface with external CPA firm, auditors, and tax preparers
Identify process improvements and internal control enhancements
Assist the Controller as needed
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
High level of accuracy, organization, and accountability
Great communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent critical thinking skills
Preferred
Knowledge of ERP systems; Epicor preferred but not required
