The US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a Supervisory Civil Engineer to serve as the Operations Division Project Manager in the New Orleans District. Responsibilities
Responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of complex civil engineering projects
Demonstrated experience in the application of advanced civil engineering principles and practices related to the design, construction, and maintenance of flood control, hurricane protection, or similar large-scale water resource infrastructure
Proven ability to serve as a technical authority and effectively communicate complex engineering and regulatory information to a diverse range of stakeholders
Leadership and Team building experience
Knowledge of Civil Engineering Principles and Practices
Oral and Written Communication
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent education
Professional registration or licensure as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE)
Evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination
Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences
Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field with at least 1 year of professional engineering experience
One year of specialized experience in planning, execution, and oversight of complex civil engineering projects
Demonstrated experience in advanced civil engineering principles and practices related to flood control, hurricane protection, or similar large-scale water resource infrastructure
Proven ability to serve as a technical authority and communicate complex engineering and regulatory information to diverse stakeholders
Leadership and team building experience
Knowledge of Civil Engineering Principles and Practices
Oral and Written Communication skills

Proof of U.S. Citizenship
One-year trial or probationary period may be required
One-year Supervisory probationary period may be required
Completion of a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration (for male applicants born after December 31, 1959)

Submission of a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination based on a background investigation
