Responsibilities
Analyze business and technical requirements to develop test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases
Perform functional, integration, and regression testing for Java applications on distributed platforms
Execute test cycles, validate results, and ensure correctness of program changes
Write and execute SQL queries for data validation using PostgreSQL and DB2
Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA
Update test data, test files, and review test execution results
Prepare program-level and user-level documentation supporting the SDLC
Collaborate with developers, business users, and stakeholders to meet testing goals and tight deadlines
Provide clear guidance, transparency, and collaboration across testing teams
Obtain user sign-off before production releases
Follow organizational standards for source control, migrations, and deployments
Support automation and process improvements to enhance system efficiency and reduce operational time
Analyze user requirements, procedures, and business problems
Support automation of business processes
Assist with installation, access control, and troubleshooting for systems as required
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on experience testing Java applications
Strong experience with DB2 and PostgreSQL, including data validation and query development
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience in test case creation and execution
Experience in integration and system testing
Experience in debugging and defect analysis
Strong analytical skills for data validation, error correction, and reporting
Experience creating comprehensive technical and user documentation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work onsite and collaborate closely with business and technical teams
Must be local to Metro Atlanta and able to work onsite
Preferred
Prior Department of Labor (DOL) project experience
Working knowledge of Java programming
AWS hands-on experience
Experience with Kofax
Exposure to IBM/DELL mainframe environments
Familiarity with JCL
