Responsibilities
Maintain standard cost inventory valuation and product costing within the accounting system
Review landed costs, investigate purchase price variances, and drive improvements in inventory processes
Perform month-end close duties including inventory reconciliations, journal entries, fixed asset depreciation, and other account reconciliations
Analyze manufacturing operations, equipment utilization, and profitability of key accounts
Assist the CFO with plant cost center reporting, COGS analysis, and overall financial performance review
Lead and support cycle counts and year-end inventory programs, serving as the main point of contact for physical inventory
Ensure proper capitalization of plant expenses and adherence to accounting policies
Support internal and external audits, including LIFO reporting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
2+ years of plant or cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of standard cost accounting required
Preferred
Experience with LIFO
Experience with Power BI
Advanced Excel skills
