Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities
Can read and interpret complex engineering drawings and dimensional requirements
Understands Geometric Tolerancing and how to measure Geometric Tolerancing
Good record keeping skills, completes and maintains Inspection Report Documentation. Can use Excel and Data Bases for document upload
Must have a firm understanding of basic Trigonometry, and math skills
Working knowledge and use of a variety of inspection equipment, Calipers, Micrometers, Profilometer, must have Gage-Maker experience for thread inspections
Reporting and recording Non-Conforming product. Prepares rejected vendor components and inspection results for return to the vendor.Re-inspects any parts that have been previously rejected
Required to Monitor the condition and calibration status of tools and equipment while in use, to identify equipment requiring repair, replacement, calibration or verification
Coordinates calibration and verification of equipment with purchasing and calibration service providers

Minimum five (5) years of experience as inspector in a machine shop environment, oil & gas industry preferred
GED minimum
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be able to operate cranes and forklifts in safe manner
Physical activity will vary from sitting at a computer for extended periods of time to monitor testing. Regularly required to walk, stand and sit with frequent and regular use of hands to figure, handle/grasp/squeeze or feel and talk or hear. Occasionally reach with hands or arms; climb or balance; stoop, bend kneel, squat, push/pull, twist, crouch or crawl.
