Responsibilities
Provide oversight and ongoing enhancement of the Operational Risk Management Framework, ensuring consistency with enterprise risk standards and regulatory expectations
Lead the aggregation, validation, and analysis of operational risk data across all departments and business lines
Develop and deliver comprehensive operational risk reporting for executive committees, senior management, and head office stakeholders
Drive firmwide Operational Risk and Enterprise Risk reporting processes in collaboration with Risk, Compliance, Finance, and business leadership
Chair or act as senior administrator for Operational Risk governance forums, including committee structure, materials, escalation, and issue tracking
Own the maintenance and evolution of operational risk policies, procedures, and standards across the branch
Serve as a primary point of contact for regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders on operational risk-related matters
Ensure consistent application of operational risk policies and support remediation efforts tied to issues, findings, and control gaps
Partner with senior management on risk strategy, emerging risk identification, and alignment with broader business objectives
Oversee administrative and infrastructure components supporting the risk function, including record retention, tools, and special initiatives
Qualification
Required
Experience in overseeing operational risk management frameworks and governance
Ability to aggregate, validate, and analyze operational risk data across departments and business lines
Experience in developing and delivering operational risk reporting for executive committees and senior management
Proven track record in driving operational risk and enterprise risk reporting processes
Experience chairing or acting as senior administrator for operational risk governance forums
Ability to maintain and evolve operational risk policies, procedures, and standards
Experience serving as a primary point of contact for regulators and auditors on operational risk matters
Ability to ensure consistent application of operational risk policies and support remediation efforts
Experience partnering with senior management on risk strategy and emerging risk identification
Ability to oversee administrative and infrastructure components supporting the risk function
