Responsibilities

Plan the release of project deliverables and manage the release lifecycle
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to ensure smooth releases
Schedule and manage release windows and cycles across multiple portfolios or components
Identify and mitigate risks that could impact release scope, quality, or timelines
Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and go/no-go assessments
Develop and maintain release schedules, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and vendors
Create and manage deployment plans, run books, and implementation strategies
Oversee the execution of deployment plans and lead go-live activities
Maintain a repository of release-related documentation, including procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
Collaborate with release engineers to manage code merges, branches, and impacts
Continuously improve release processes by identifying bottlenecks and implementing best practices
Communicate release plans, updates, and changes to stakeholders effectively
Ensure compliance with quality benchmarks and organizational standards
Manage post-release activities, including reviews and identifying areas for improvement
Utilize automation tools and scripts to streamline the release process and ensure efficiency
Expert with Agile Methodology

Required

Deep understanding of agile principles and practices, often within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
Experience as an advanced Scrum Master or in a similar role is often helpful
