Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert in Mainframe Top Secret (TSS) Security Administration
Administer and support z/OS operating systems and core system components
Manage user access, certificates, encryption, and access control in mainframe environments
Perform routine system administration, including security monitoring, performance monitoring, and maintenance
Support mainframe configuration, break/fix issues, and user account administration
Assist with planning, testing, and implementation of system upgrades and changes
Diagnose platform and software issues and perform root cause analysis
Support ISV products such as BlueZone
Work closely with infrastructure, network, and application teams to support daily mainframe operations
Support production control jobs and mainframe job scheduling processes
Contribute to security compliance, audits, and risk mitigation efforts
Qualification
Required
8+ years of hands-on experience with Top Secret Security (TSS)
5+ years of hands-on experience with z/OS Administration
Experience with JES2, z/OS Unix System Services (OMVS), and SMS
3+ years of experience with TLS configuration (certificates, SSL, RSA keys, SFTP, FTPS)
Strong working knowledge of z/OS Operations
Strong working knowledge of VTAM and TCP/IP networking
Strong working knowledge of JCL, TSO, VSAM
Strong working knowledge of SMP/E
Strong working knowledge of RMF, SMF, WLM
Strong working knowledge of GRS
Strong working knowledge of Automated job scheduling tools
Strong working knowledge of Terminal emulators (e.g., BlueZone)
Preferred
Experience with REXX scripting
Experience in mainframe performance monitoring and analysis
Experience with Informatica PowerExchange for Change Data Capture (CDC)
Familiarity with IMS and VSAM data sources
