Responsibilities
Identify, prioritize, and execute value creation initiatives across assigned portfolio companies, including commercial growth, cost optimization, operational improvements, and organizational effectiveness
Support new investment onboarding by partnering with Healthcare team to translate diligence insights into actionable value creation plans, KPIs, and dashboards
Lead aspects of integration planning and execution for add-on M&A activity, including synergy assessment, IMO/PMO structure, cultural integration, and execution tracking
Develop and maintain standardized playbooks for common value creation situations, including onboarding, integration, and business transformation
Track and communicate progress against value creation plans throughout the investment lifecycle, ensuring alignment across deal teams, management teams, and boards
Develop expertise across key Healthcare themes such as provider operations, payer dynamics, reimbursement models, revenue cycle, and regulatory considerations across services and manufacturing
Provide sector-relevant insight and guidance to portfolio companies during operational reviews, strategic planning, and transformation workstreams
Build playbooks tailored to Healthcare recurring patterns (e.g., standardization and centralization of operations, implementation of AI / automation of manual processes)
Identify, scope, select, negotiate, and manage third-party consultants and advisors to support value creation initiatives across functional areas
Maintain and expand the firm’s network of external resources, including operating partners, consulting firms, and industry experts
Manage performance and ensure outcomes meet expectations for both MDP and portfolio companies
Develop strong working relationships with the Healthcare investment team, serving as a trusted partner throughout the investment lifecycle
Collaborate with Portfolio Resources colleagues to share best practices and experience with external resources, refine playbooks, and enhance the firm’s value creation framework
Support knowledge capture and institutionalization through documentation, templates, dashboards, and reference materials
Actively engage with Portfolio Resources and Operating Executives to expand overall Portfolio-wide Executive Forums to build value across functional expertise in Finance, Talent, Legal, AI/Technology and Go-To-Market
Champion MDP’s culture of collaboration, humility, accountability, and integrity
Qualification
Required
Approximately 10-12 years of experience in operations, consulting, transformation, or leadership roles within private equity–backed or Healthcare organizations
Strong understanding of Healthcare operating models and recurring value creation themes
Demonstrated experience leading complex initiatives across commercial, operational, or organizational domains
Strong analytical and financial skills, including familiarity with KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics
Bachelor's degree required
Strong operator, consultant, or PE value creation professional with a track record of leading impactful initiatives
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to move work forward independently
High executive presence and comfort engaging with senior leadership, boards, and advisors
Ability to influence without authority and build trust quickly across diverse stakeholders
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
Low-ego, collaborative, and adaptable, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
Exercises sound judgment and discretion, particularly with sensitive information
