Akkodis is seeking an Infrastructure Architect - Operations Architecture for a 1-year W2 contract position with a client in Denver, CO. The role involves designing and implementing enterprise-level IT infrastructure architectures and integrating multiple technologies to support business needs.

Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise level IT infrastructure architectures that support current and future business needs

Integrate multiple technologies (computer storage, network, security, cloud) into cohesive, scalable infrastructure designs

Create and maintain architecture diagrams, reference designs, and technical standards and roadmaps

Evaluate and recommend infrastructure solutions based on performance, risk, security, and cost

Lead and guide technical teams during infrastructure installation, configuration, upgrades and lifecycle activities

Provide architectural oversight to ensure solutions align with approved designs

Support infrastructure modernization, migration, and expansion efforts

Monitor infrastructure performance and identify architectural improvement opportunities

Perform risk assessments across infrastructure layers

Design mitigation strategies to reduce system, availability, and security risks

Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability across platforms

Document: system architecture and design decisions, operational and support procedures, infrastructure standards and best practices

Support governance processes related to infrastructure lifecycle, security, and compliance standards

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Several years of experience in IT infrastructure roles with architecture ownership

Core Technologies: server hardware and operating systems, networking (LAN/WAN fundamentals), security systems and controls, storage systems, and monitoring and performance optimization

Cloud technology: Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architecture design

Proven experience designing and integrating complex infrastructure systems

Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments

Ability to lead technical discussions and guide implementation teams

Strong communication skills to work with both technical and business stakeholders
