Responsibilities
Oversee and develop the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily accounting functions
Drive a timely month-end close process with a strong hands-on approach
Create tools and reporting that enhance understanding of financial metrics and KPIs across the organization
Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to improve planning, forecasting, and cost visibility
Recruit and develop accounting staff as needed to support department growth
Lead and participate in process improvement and system optimization initiatives
Manage the annual financial audit and tax preparation process with Uesco’s external accounting firm
Become proficient in the company’s ERP system
Serve as a trusted financial resource internally and externally
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
7+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
Experience in a manufacturing or inventory-based business
Strong understanding of GAAP and relevant accounting standards
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
CPA preferred but not required
