Regional Claims Advocate Leader

The Regional Claims Advocate Leader is responsible for managing claims account handling within a region, providing oversight, advocacy, and support for complex claims issues while promoting continuous improvement and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Effectively manage the skill set of the assigned Claims Advocates, identifying areas of strength and success, along with areas of opportunities for future learning. Conduct job performance appraisals and reviews of assigned Claims Advocates
Demonstrate support for the Hylant Claims Vision by suggesting and recommending ideas that better the internal processes and procedures and provide for continuous improvement
Professionally and thoroughly represent Hylant claims capabilities to both prospects and clients in meetings and presentations, thereby promoting opportunities for revenue growth
Advocate for and consult with Hylant clients and prospects on complex claims issues crossing multiple lines of coverage
Provide a second level of defense for denials or ROR’s being addressed at the Claims Advocate level, escalating claims to the Claims Practice Leader and Management when necessary
Execute a Written Service Plan, where appropriate, that supports the Written Service Timelines established in the Client Engagement Strategy
Design Special Claim Handling Instructions and deliver Claim Review summaries and Audit formats that reflect the client’s needs for communication and information flow and demonstrate the value added by your involvement in the client’s claims processes
Evaluate performance and make recommendations to help Hylant clients achieve their desired goals and objectives
Maintain a working knowledge of carrier or TPA RMIS systems and provide access to or support for the assigned Claims Advocates development and learning
Identify, recommend and execute claim consulting opportunities for prospects, new, or renewal clients in support of the Hylant future revenue growth initiatives
Advance carrier and market relationships by participating in meetings, boards, educational training or other similar events or occasions
Perform other duties and special projects as requested
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of ten years property and casualty insurance experience including a minimum of five years' experience managing claims OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Active Property and Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain within 100 days of employment)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability and willingness to travel by car or airplane for meetings, conferences, or other business-related functions
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Prior managerial or supervisory experience preferred
Insurance designations (CPCU, CIC, AIC, ARM, etc.) a plus
