NDT Inspector - III, 1st Shift (Onsite)

The NDT Technician is responsible for performing Non-Destructive Testing using liquid penetrant and magnetic particle methods, evaluating inspection data, and documenting findings. Responsibilities
Perform NDT component inspections
Set up, operate equipment, and where applicable, check and adjust/calibrate equipment and test process medium as needed to ensure valid test results
Perform routine service throughout the assigned area for upkeep, and ensure equipment operates properly
Evaluate the results of all inspections performed using NDT processes to the level of certification held
Maintain accurate records of inspection for all NDT processes
Perform process checks/audits on all materials and equipment used in NDT
Obtain and maintain Level II certification in at least one NDT discipline, demonstrating ongoing technical competency and adherence to industry standards
Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position
Assist Cell Leader/Ops Tech in meeting production goals and objectives
Actively participates in departmental cross-training to support team flexibility and ensure smooth operations based on business needs
Qualification
Required
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
1-3 years of relevant experience in an aerospace or manufacturing setting
Experience with non-destructive inspection techniques
Experience with reading detailed blueprints and/or specifications
Preferred
ASNT certification is preferred
Ability to obtain internal Level II FPI certification required
3-5 years of relevant experience in an aerospace or manufacturing setting
Experience with brazing techniques and weld joints
Experience with working with shop floor equipment (setup, cleaning, operation)
Basic computer skills (Window based software, Word, Excel, etc.)
Experience with math skills in a work setting
