Responsibilities
Serve as a core member of the executive team, aligning technology initiatives with company goals around growth, operational efficiency, and customer experience. Define and maintain a scalable technology roadmap that enables rapid product evolution and new market expansion
Oversee design and performance of core insurance systems and integrations, including policy administration, quoting, and agent distribution platforms. Drive modernization of databases, APIs, and DevOps infrastructure to support real-time performance and resilience
Partner with product and insurance teams to enhance the end-to-end digital experience for agents and customers. Champion workflow automation, API integrations, and portal usability that differentiate the company in distribution speed and ease of doing business
Lead and develop a distributed engineering organization, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and delivery. Build strong internal and external partnerships—including with vendors, offshore teams, and capacity providers—to ensure technology supports business agility
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive technology leadership, including 3+ years in a CTO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent senior role
Proven success in InsurTech, MGA, or digital insurance environments, preferably within property lines
Expertise in policy administration systems, API architecture, and quote-to-bind workflows for brokers or agents
Experience managing engineering, DevOps, and data infrastructure teams in high-growth organizations
Ability to translate business strategy into scalable, flexible systems that drive measurable impact
Preferred
Background in modern development stacks (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, Python)
