Responsibilities

Operating and cleaning the fluid filling and packaging equipment
Cleaning the environment of the filling room
Maintaining sanitary equipment and environment for the packaging of fluid products
Operating fluid filling equipment at a proficient level, while filling products into gallon, half-gallon and single serve containers including milk, eggnog, fruit drinks, juices, teas and water
Operating the CIP and COP systems
Operating the floor cleaner and scrubbing equipment
Disassembling and reassembling fluid fillers and associated equipment for cleaning
Responsible for manual and hand cleaning of casers, labelers, conveyors, fillers, filler parts stackers, walls, drains, empty case conveyors, control panels, and any equipment involved in packaging
Operating and maintaining equipment of the fluid packaging area, including labelers, conveyors, fillers, casers, stackers, etc
Maintaining accurate written production records
Performing laboratory tests and monitor weight control of product, and
Producing a quality product in a manner that meets Publix and Regulatory standards

Required

must be at least 18 years old
must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
must demonstrate safe working habits
must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently
must have a mechanical aptitude and demonstrate abilities
ability to obtain a license and operate a forklift
must have basic computer skills, including Man Machine Interface (MMI) and data entry
ability to climb ladders to clean conveyors
must be able to learn and perform all positions
must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
must have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player)
must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
must have excellent attendance and punctuality
must have excellent safety work habits
must be willing to assist other team members in other areas
must be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time
must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision
must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
must possess basic math skills
must be able to communicate effectively
must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work
