The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is one of the largest agencies in the state, responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of all North Carolinians. They are seeking an Architect II to join their architectural review team, focusing on regulating licensed facilities and ensuring compliance with safety codes.

Responsibilities
Use and develop knowledge of codes to regulate licensed facilities throughout the State of North Carolina
Ensure the safety and well-being of citizens in all of our 100 counties
Regulate the physical plant compliance of all licensed health care, residential care and jail facilities in North Carolina
Blend office time with travel time in the field to impact positive changes for the citizens of North Carolina
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in architecture or an engineering discipline related to the area of assignment from an appropriately accredited institution
Three years of related experience as a registered architect
Valid license to practice architecture granted by the North Carolina Board of Architecture
Must possess a valid driver's license
Preferred
Knowledge of principles and practices of architecture
Physical abilities to inspect buildings in their entirety
Ability to read and understand building blueprints and specifications
