Assistant Technician
Divert is a circular economy company focused on preventing food waste through innovative technologies. The Assistant Technician will play a crucial role in food analysis and recovery by performing various tasks related to the inspection and management of organic materials under the direction of the Lead Technician.

Responsibilities
Executes on various tasks including the inspection, breakdown, cleaning, and stacking of organic material bins
Wear proper PPE for duties assigned
Operating other equipment as assigned ie sweeper, power washers, HMI interfaces
Maintains a clean and safe work environment and escalates concerns to Lead Technician or Managers in real time
Operation of power pallet jacks, forklift duties may include unloading trucks and processing food waste
Assist with basic PM tasks and other operational activities as assigned
Participation in all shift handoff meetings, scheduled trainings, and other meeting as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to perform various tasks including the inspection, breakdown, cleaning, and stacking of organic material bins
Wear proper PPE for duties assigned
Operating other equipment as assigned ie sweeper, power washers, HMI interfaces
Maintains a clean and safe work environment and escalates concerns to Lead Technician or Managers in real time
Operation of power pallet jacks, forklift duties may include unloading trucks and processing food waste
Assist with basic PM tasks and other operational activities as assigned
Participation in all shift handoff meetings, scheduled trainings, and other meeting as assigned
Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 lbs frequently
Must be able to bend, stand, walk, sit, kneel frequently
Is comfortable operating equipment and repetitive tasks throughout their shift
Is able to handle potential changes in temperature on site, humidity and wetness in working areas
Basic computer proficiency and mathematical skills
Ability and comfort with performing routine tasks
Willing to work overtime
Preferred
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience preferred
Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
6-12 months maintenance, industrial maintenance, or auto mechanic experience preferred
Experience operating pressure washers and power pallet jacks preferred
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication in English (preferred)
