Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager in providing leadership and oversight for daily operations and project administration
Manage and develop staff including Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Project Support
Review and issue Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
Understand legal documents, including Owner Contracts, Subcontracts, and Purchase Orders
Conduct meetings with local authorities and build relationships to support project progress
Monitor and ensure accuracy in cost accounting and projections
Provide regular financial updates to field staff
Approve subcontractor and supplier invoices and pay applications
Ensure timely communication of project progress and issues
Maintain and update project schedules
Visit job sites to ensure construction aligns with project documents, schedule, and quality standards
Monitor project closeout activities and ensure compliance with policies
Train and mentor staff for career progression
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
+ 2 years of progressive construction site management experience
Or an associate's degree + 4 years of experience; Or a GED + 6 years of experience
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
In-depth understanding of construction methods, cost accounting, scheduling, and estimating
