The Purchasing and Inventory Specialist oversees the purchasing and maintains inventory of supplies, materials, and parts for facility operations, while collaborating with team members to find solutions and generate reports.

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains logistics process for inventory maintenance, shipment and delivery, and returns on products

Collaborates with other members of the team to identify problems and find solutions

Develops and maintains inventory databases for supplies and materials used

Submit supply inventory request weekly

Maintains records of supplies ordered and received

Communicates with management to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of product

Proactively anticipates treatment/supply increases by understanding and knowing the pulse of the hospital through regular communication; this includes, but is not limited to seasonal increases in hospital visits, contributing circumstances (i.e., COVID), etc

Must have frequent (at least weekly) communication with supervisor

Checks email at least weekly and responds appropriately and timely; uses company-provided email for all work-related email communications

Adheres to company policies and procedures

Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance and punctuality

Performs other duties as assigned
