Area Vice President, Demand Generation and Business Development

The Area Vice President, Demand Generation and Business Development will lead a team to drive pipeline growth and revenue through strategic demand generation programs and business development initiatives, ensuring alignment across marketing, sales, and customer success.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive demand generation strategy that drives qualified pipeline across all segments
Oversee campaign design and execution, ensuring alignment with growth priorities and sales objectives
Implement and optimize lead flow management processes to maximize conversion rates and pipeline velocity
Scale account-based marketing (ABM) programs leveraging intent data and predictive analytics
Nurture the Business Development Representative (BDR) team to ensure effective qualification of opportunities for sales and customer success leaders
Partner cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure seamless execution of go-to-market initiatives
Monitor and report on campaign performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI; continuously refine strategies based on insights
Represent Calix in executive-level discussions and industry forums as a thought leader in demand generation and business development
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years of experience in B2B demand generation and business development leadership roles, preferably in technology or SaaS
Proven expertise in campaign design and execution, lead flow management, and account-based marketing strategies
Strong understanding of the role BDRs play in pipeline development and experience managing BDR teams
Hands-on experience with 6sense, Adobe Marketo, and Salesforce; ability to leverage these platforms for advanced targeting, automation, and reporting
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with experience leading cross-functional teams
Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable insights
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable influencing at all levels
Preferred
Experience in the broadband or telecommunications industry
Advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
Familiarity with predictive analytics and AI-driven marketing technologies
