Account Executive – Public Sector Data & Snowflake Services (SLED / Higher Ed)

Mid, Senior LevelAvaap is seeking a high-performing, hunter-focused Account Executive to drive net-new growth across State & Local Government and Higher Education sectors. The role involves owning the full pursuit lifecycle, from prospecting to closing deals, while collaborating with Sales Architects and industry experts to deliver data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities
Own a quota-aligned strategy to build and close net-new opportunities in SLED/Higher Ed
Prospect and break into new logos and greenfield accounts with a true hunter approach
Lead discovery conversations with executives to uncover high-value data + analytics modernization needs
Position Avaap services and Snowflake-enabled solutions in a clear, relevant, mission-aligned way
Drive full-cycle pursuits: pipeline creation → proposal → orals → contract execution
Partner with Sales Architects and delivery to build accurate, winnable SOWs and pricing
Navigate contracting and redlines with internal partners (Legal, Ops, Client Partner)
Maintain clean, accurate forecasts and deal progression in CRM
Qualification
Required
Proven AE success selling services or software/services into State/Local Government and/or Higher Ed
Strong data sales experience (ideal: data services, analytics modernization, cloud data platforms)
Hunter mentality with demonstrated success in net-new logo acquisition
Comfort operating in complex, multi-stakeholder public sector environments
Working knowledge of Snowflake and the value it enables (modern data platform, governance, analytics, interoperability, etc.)
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively
Must be able to perform work indoors and remain stationary at a computer
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration
Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap's physical office locations
Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
