Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction for the District 8 Youth and Young Adults Jobs Program
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of workforce programming
Ensure program activities align with organizational goals, community needs, and funder expectations
Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to enhance program effectiveness
Supervise and support workforce development staff, fostering a collaborative and accountable team culture
Provide coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities for staff
Support performance management processes and promote continuous learning
Encourage clear communication, teamwork, and shared responsibility across the workforce team
Oversee day-to-day program operations to ensure smooth and consistent service delivery
Develop, refine, and implement standard operating procedures to support program efficiency
Coordinate internal workflows related to intake, enrollment, case management, and job placement
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment and operational clarity
Lead the effective use of the organization’s CRM system to track participant progress, outcomes, and compliance
Ensure staff are trained and supported in accurate and timely data entry
Monitor data quality and use program data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
Support reporting requirements for internal leadership and external funders
Ensure programming is youth-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive
Promote high standards of care, professionalism, and ethical engagement with participants
Support partnerships with employers, training providers, and community organizations to expand opportunities for participants
Ensure compliance with grant requirements, contracts, and organizational policies
Support program reporting, audits, site visits, and funder communications as needed
Promote consistent documentation and adherence to program guidelines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Workforce Development, Social Work, Public Administration, Education, Human Services, or a related field (Required)
Masters Degree in Workforce Development, Social Work, Public Administration, Education, Human Services, or a related field (Preferred)
Minimum 7 –10 years of workforce development experience, including supervisory or leadership experience
Demonstrated experience working with youth and young adults (ages 15–24)
Proven ability to strengthen systems, manage teams, and improve program operations
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a nonprofit, mission-driven environment
Ability to pass a background check
Preferred
Experience managing grant-funded or publicly funded workforce programs
Familiarity with workforce systems and community partnerships
Experience developing operational procedures and outcome-tracking tools
Strong relationship-building skills with funders, employers, and community stakeholders
